Classic Himalayan Trekking

“Life doesn’t have much better to offer than this. The mountains are alive – they move and they breathe and they are a feast for your senses. Each day I thought I had been in the most beautiful place in the world – and then I would find another wonder to be in awe of!”
Extract from a Travellers Journal – The original Responsible Traveller.

Many of our trekking itineraries are located in Nepal, a land stretching along the Himalaya that has long held a fascination and mystic for the western world. It is a Kingdom with ancient cultures, colourful religions, and some of the most superb scenery in the world. The other trips are in Ladakh, a remote north western province of India. With Tibetan buddhism practised and moonscapes of high altitude dessert cut into the land, it is no wonder the region is known as little Tibet. We also offer bespoke treks in Bhutan, yet another Himalayan destination this time known as Land of the thunder Dragon.

For many a trip to the Himalaya is a lifetime dream. Although Everest is of course the most famous, there are many parts of the Himalaya to explore, each offering a uniquely different experience. The mountain scenery is arguably the best in the world and has lured the traveller back to this enchanting ancient kingdom again and again. Fortunately these days you don’t have to be either be a Sherpa or a mountaineer to get amongst the great mountain giants of the world. Listed here, the trips are in order of grading easy – difficult.
