4 Ways to Join a Community Project Holiday
These imaginative 2 part itineraries combine adventure & compassion. You can enjoy the highlights of Nepal with a Himalaya Trek or Cultural Tour and then join a community development project to experience life in a Nepali village and get an understanding of the issues faced by developing country populations. Do you want a holiday with a difference, and to make a difference to those worse off in the developing world?…. There is no better way to get to know the country you visit than spending time living with local people. If you have a taste for adventure and are eager to do something different this is the holiday for you. All you need to do is choose from the following options for your perfect holiday.
If you are a walker with a passion for the mountains we have two itineraries for you to choose from: an introductory trek in the Himalaya will allow you to explore the Annapurna region walking for five days through beautiful terraced villages and enjoy viewing the majestic Machhappuchare, Daulaghiri, and Annapurna mountains. The highlight of the trek will be a sunrise walk to the view point at Poon Hill, a classic place from which to enjoy the snow capped peaks of the massive Himalaya; ii) We ascend beyond the cultivated terraced fields into the upland areas. At our ultimate destination – “The Sanctuary”; locally known as the “Abode of the Gods”, we are in a natural amphitheatre and become literally surrounded by the Himalayas.
